Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez died at the age of 58 years. This was stated by Vice President Nicolas Maduro Venezuela, Tuesday (05/03/2013) local time.
In a national announcement, Maduro said Chavez died Tuesday at 16:25 local time. According to CNN, Maduro shed tears while proclaiming it.
Earlier, Chavez reported new infections, following cancer treatment being lived. Since undergoing cancer treatment in Cuba, Chavez never again appear in public.
Many Venezuelans then urged, Chavez announced that the health condition in detail to the public. Chavez, who served as president for 14 years, is believed to have cancer around the flanks, but certainly he suffered undisclosed illness.
In June 2011, Chavez announced that he had cancer, and had undergone surgery four times since then, including chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
During this time, Chavez claimed the state of decision-making in the hospital bed, but there are various speculations surfaced related health conditions.
Chavez was re-elected for another six-year term, when elections were held in October 2012, but the Supreme Court ruled that they should take the oath of office Jan. 10, could be postponed because of her illness
